Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition.
Executive Director of Program Executive Office Strategic Submarines. Previously, Mr. Sermon served as the Executive Director for Program Executive Office Columbia Class Submarine and as the Executive Director, Amphibious, Auxiliary and Sealift Office, Program Executive Office, Ships.
In his current role, he provides executive leadership to the Columbia Class Submarine acquisition program and the In Service SSBN/SSGN program, while also being assigned responsibility for revitalization of the Submarine Industrial Base.

An eleven-year veteran of the United States Navy where he served as an electronics technician on H-60 helicopters and intermediate level repair. In 2015 he has helped stand up the Additive Manufacturing/ Digital Thread (AMDT) Integrated Product team (IPT) at NAVAIR where he stood up the first AM formal schoolhouse for USN active duty (NASAM) and wrote the AM program into the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP 4790).

Chris L Beeson – Exxon Mobil.
Christopher is the ExxonMobil Refinery Special Purpose Machinery Execution Supervisor along with the Baton Rouge Area Additive Manufacturing Lead encompassing the Baton Rouge Refinery, Chemical Plant, Resin Finishing Plant, Polyolefins Plant, Lubricants Plant, and any local Upstream ExxonMobil activities. He also leads the ExxonMobil Global Additive Manufacturing RoundTable, assisting and mentoring all sites. His career began as a welder in high school, a machinist in college, and he has been in the Oil & Gas and Power Generation industries with ExxonMobil and General Electric for 27 years.
Jason Wells – Center for Manufacturing Advancement (CMA) .
Leads the Center for Manufacturing Advancement and the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing program.
With extensive experience in driving innovation and industry partnerships, he leads initiatives that strengthen advanced manufacturing capabilities, workforce development, and regional economic growth. Jason is committed to advancing cutting-edge technologies and fostering collaboration to position manufacturers for long-term success.
John Harrison – Phillips Additive.
Director.
Responsible for change, growth, and collaboration with our family of customers in the government, our great equipment manufacturers and our partners at Phillips.
Phillips supports readiness, innovation, workforce development, and life cycle management for the manufacturing sector by providing guidance in the application of best in class technologies, including machining, additive manufacturing, and digital production.
Scott Kasen – Austal.
Director of Advanced Technologies.
Leads the Advanced Technologies division at Austal USA, where he is responsible for driving innovation in materials science, additive manufacturing, and advanced shipbuilding technologies. He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science, along with both a master’s and bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia.

Tyler Dolmetsch (Florida International University), Chris Williams (Virginia Tech), Dr. Tushar Borkar (Cleveland State University), and Steven Floyd (Floyd Technology Consulting LLC), will join together for an engaging discussion on the adoption of Wire Directed Energy Deposition (DED). The panel will explore current research, emerging applications, and the opportunities and challenges of implementing this technology to advance industry and defense readiness.
